Objectives : The competences to be developed in the study cycle are: a) integrated overlook of the different urban water cycle components, b) water and wastewater management utilities considering efficiency and reliability principles, c) basic concepts of urban hydraulic, water and wastewater treatment processes, d) use of modelling tools and improve variable measurements for better manage the water systems. The curricular program focuses all the urban water cycle components (abstraction, treatment, transport, supply/collection), and also focus water management and measuring techniques and modelling.
Admission requirements : Those who meet the following conditions may apply to the 2nd cycle of studies leading to the master degree: a) Holders of the degree in Engineering and Environmental Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental sciences or related fields, or legal equivalent; b) Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum vitae that is recognised by the scientific council as attesting to the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies
Targeted careers : Technician and manager in water and wastewater management entities; Technician and manager in non-profit associations (NGOs); Consultant (preparation, monitoring and evaluation of projects) in the area of water and wastewater; Higher technician and manager in the areas of the environment, water resources and land use; Trainer in the areas of operation of water and wastewater systems; Scientific researcher.
